Enjoying my craft posts? More to come! You can see I have much more time on my hands to craft ^^.
I hope all these craft posts get you inspired to make some things yourselves. Create your own world and style!
Anywho, here are some rings I made.
This ones made with air drying clay and pastel for colouring.
I love bows! made with salt dough and acrylic paint
Made with a cameo I bought from Sophie & Toffee (I still have to post my review ^^;)
In our supermarket (the GB) there's a promotion going on, when you buy for so much money, you get a Disney push pin. I already got 3 of the Incredibles, 1 of Ratatouille and this one from the Princess and the Frog. I really like this one and since I don't use brooches so much I made it into a ring ^^
On another note, I am working on things for my shop. When it's finished I'll let you know, so keep an eye out for that ;)

Jup, Belgium has more candy to offer than chocolate alone.
It's very likely that you have never heard or seen this candy before. You know why...
Cuberdons or Neuzen, literally translated as Noses because of the shape, are only made in Belgium.
They can't be shipped off to other countries because of the limited pot life. After 3 weeks they start to turn into sugar so don't wait to long before eating. Although I doubt they'll be in your cabinet very long.
Cuberdons are really yummy! The standard ones, as you can see in the picture are purple-red and have a raspberry flavor. 25 more flavors were developed just a few years ago so now you have black ones which taste like anise; strawberries, cherries, lemon, banana, pineaplle, coconut, vanille, cola, melon, orange, peache, apple, pear, pepermint, kiwi, lavender, viola, cinnamon
The head ingrediënt from Neuzen is Arabic gum which gives it his typical texture. Hard on the outside, soft and gooey on the inside.
I'm always up for a trade for national candies! Interested? Contact
you need something cold!
And what is better to have in hot hot summer than a sorbet! yum ^^
Yesterday we (my mum and I) made, in the spur of the moment, watermelon sorbet and cherry sauce.
We only had a quarter of a water melon left, so that's what we used. Slice into small pieces and remove all the seeds. Put them in a bowl and mix them. I also added some sugar, 2 tablespoons of crystal sugar.
Mix again. Get out little cups or those special things to make water ice, or a large flat container.
Pour the mixture in there and store in the freezer. I looked at the sorbet after 3 hours and it wasn't ready yet so longer than that :D.
I have to say, when you are going to make this, start with a little amount of watermelon, so you can see if you like it. The end result has a very specific taste, some like it, others don't.
A friend of mine made a tutorial on youtube about a cantalope sorbet (we call cantalope here literally: honey melon)
Onto the cherry sauce; shall we?
My mum got a lot of cherries from a friend and since I don't like cherries so much, there were still some left.
Our first idea was cherry sorbet but it turned out a liiiitle bit different :)
We used 2 handful cherries (all good ones), wash them and set a pan on fire with 200 ml of water and add 2 table spoons of crystal sugar and let it warm. Remove the seed from the cherries while adding in them in the pan. Bring to a boil and stir. If it boiling, put it on a lower fire and let boil. Mash the cherries and sieve the mixture (be sure to put something beneath it 'cause that's your sauce xD )
And finished, now add it to your ice-cream or put the sauce with the icecream in a blender and you have cherrymilkshake!
No pictures 'cause we were to quick with eating ^^; sorry.
Besides cooking, I also did some crafting so expect some posts about that in the future!
Remember the post with all those books listed?
I began reading the first one from my list ^^
The Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy. Normally I'm not so much into sci-fi but that title just speaks to me ^^
I'll let you know if I like it :)
Anyone read this one before?
I bought an agenda in the beginning of the schoolyear but the cover was not so much to my liking; a skaterboy... so not me ^^;. I also had some free mangapromotionbooks from Düsselfdorf, those were the perfect covers for my agenda ^^. Decoupaging is actually very simple :) Here's what you need: - pictures, photographs, magazine clippings, all paper. - white craft glue (that dries transparent) like Modge Podge - a paint brush and something to put your glue on (like a lid from a container or st) - something you want to decoupage
And how you get it done! Take your pictures and lay them out on your cover to see what's the best way. Spread glue on your base (in my case the cover) and put your pictures on, I did them one at a time, so put your picture on, brush glue over it and put on the next. Do all the base and let it dry. When it's dry, give them another layer of glue and let dry. Mine was still a bit sticky so I used transparent tacky paper to cover it up. And you're finished!
'Cause the mangapictures were black 'n white, and I love colour. I added some aquarel paint on the pictures before I put them on the cover.
Remeber I joined a glee swap? Here are the lovely things I got from my partner ^^ Here's everything together
First thing I opened was a sweater clip! inspired by Emma, Yay ^^ On the letter she gave me was a golden star, I think I'm going to make a bracelet round it.
and in action:
Next up, I found a 'My cat's been reading my diary" diary! Haha, so clever ^^ Think I'm going to use this for my swaps or blogging ideas.
Next one I opened was something I couldn't put my finger on... I first thought it was a threadcatcher but it didn't have a weighted piece to hold it from falling from my table, when I read the letter I got itA laptop case! And it just just fits my laptop. Itfeatures one of the great oneliners of Brittany
Last but not least, a I'm a Gleek shirt with a characterised touch ^^ We discussed this and I'm glad we did ^^ Lovely result! 10 points if you can guess who's on there and which song he/she's singing !
and for extra's I got a bookmark stamped with glee (everything was packed in Glee stamped paper) and Muisjes, literally translated: little mouses, these are little anise balls, really yummy In Holland, they are presented on biscuits everytime a baby is born, hence the Beth card ^^
Thankyou very much Vanillyz, I really love everything and enjoyed crafting for you and chatting with you ^^
Ever since I saw Violet Le Beaux's tutorial on her cute red glitter shoes I had the urge to try this out on my green ballerinas. I have very difficult feet, so I hate shoe shopping... most of the shoes I like, don't fit. I hate that! But sometimes I find perfect pairs ^^ This was one of them. A pair of green ballerinas.
Now they are a bit worn-out but I can't part of them and glitter I like so glitter they get ^^ !
It's really easy and you don't have to get a lot, just glitter, paint brushes and craft glue which dries transparent 'cause else you won't see the glitter. Everything else is explained at Violet's tutorial.
Work in progress:
And this is the result ^^
Inside with flash:
What do you think? I like it, I think I'm going so add something to the straps. Maybe a little bow (or would that be to much?) Hihi ^^ I like my "new" shoes ^^
it's been a long time since I have done a post like this but here's one ^^
a pair of Ed Hardy Shoes! I first saw them here, she owns a gorgeous pair of Sneakers with a geisha on them and I LOVE geisha's and everything with their picture on!
prepare for geisha-shoe goodies ^^
Here's part 2 of my haul, things I bought on the first day of the sales ^^.
Accessories I bought, a braided headband with flower pattern (1€), a blue pair of earrings (2,5€), a pair of red loop earrings (1€), 2 pairs of pearlearrings and 1 pair of bowearrings (2€), 2 bows (1€) and lot's of pearl bracelet's (3€) ^^
I desperately needed a new summer dress, and I ran into this polkadot red dress for only 5€.
Next up are a short and a pants. The short is very short but I don't mind. And the pants has a lovely purple colour (the only pants I have which isn't brown, black, blue of white, haha)
And last, a really cute top with one broken band which gave me an extra discount. It's easy to make so no problem ^^.
Tomorrow is my first working day, I feel excited! I only need to get up at 7 AM so that's alright (I was fearing I had to be awake at 5 AM)
